Jordan records eight deaths and 871 new coronavirus cases Friday

Jordan recorded eight deaths and 871 new coronavirus cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 818,358.

The death toll has risen to 10,653.

The cases are:

-393 in Amman

-138 in Irbid

-84 in Zarqa

-41 in Balqa

-37 in Ajloun

-35 in Karak

-23 in Ma'an

-20 in Aqaba

-17 in Ramtha

-14 in Madaba

-13 in Jerash

-10 in Petra

-Eight in Tafilah

A total of 69 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 53 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 493 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 12,346 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 24,893 PCR tests were conducted.

Friday, 3.5 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 3.84 percent Wednesday.
